My approach

Pelvic health extends beyond just the physical. I work closely with women to cultivate confidence and build strength – providing evidence based, individualised care to improve longevity and quality of life.

Hi, Im Rhiannon – a women’s health physiotherapist, clinical pilates instructor, menopause movement coach and mum of three.

I am a dedicated and experienced Pelvic Health clinical specialist with a strong passion for improving the health of women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction. I combine my specialist clinical knowledge with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.

Specialising in the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of pelvic health conditions – urinary and faecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain syndrome, pre and post natal rehabilitation and pre and post surgical rehabilitation – I am passionate about supporting women to live well throughout their lives and reducing dysfunction as a barrier to exercise.

I have supported adolescent elite athletes through to women on their perinatal journey and those transitioning through the menopause. I am committed to providing evidence based, individualised care to empower women to take control of their health journey.

I have a special interest in the Perimenopause and Menopause and have used my qualification as a Menopause Movement coach to develop a supportive programme that provides education and bespoke exercise programmes for women who want to improve their longevity and quality of life and without pelvic floor dysfunction as a limitation.

I am a mother to 3 young children and when time allows I enjoy strength training, running and Pilates to maintain my physical and mental health.

Experience

I hold a BSc (Biomedical Science) from University of Queensland, Australia and first-class honours in BSc in Physiotherapy from Cardiff University and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health (Sport and Exercise) from Dublin City University.

I have completed postgraduate training with the Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) and continue to update my knowledge through various CPD and training sessions.

Before becoming a Pelvic Health physiotherapist I worked as a specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for over 10 years within the NHS and elite sport. I now combine my extensive experience in managing a variety of conditions with my passion for supporting women.

A qualified Mat & Reformer Pilates instructor; I’ve been teaching Pilates and 1:1 for over 8 years, and am also qualified in Ante/Postnatal Pilates. I love the mind-body connection Pilates can offer and find it beneficial for managing patients through their individual rehabilitation journey.
