Postnatal recovery isn’t just about getting back – it’s about moving forward with strength, confidence, and trust in your body.

How I work

Specialist postnatal assessment and individualised support

Supporting your recovery after birth

Your body has been through a significant experience, and recovery after birth deserves time, guidance, and the right support. I believe every woman deserves postpartum physiotherapy, tailored to your recovery and individual goals.

Who is it for?
A postnatal check is recommended for any woman after delivery, whether you’ve had a vaginal birth or a c-section

When can I come?
Online checks can begin from 2 weeks – there is a lot we can discuss and offer early on. In-person full assessments can then start from 6 weeks.

Restore strength, function & confidence

Postnatal physiotherapy helps you reconnect to your body, restore confidence, rebuild strength and address common changes such as pelvic floor weakness, bladder or bowel symptoms, abdominal separation, or discomfort.

What is included?
Sessions may include assessment and rehabilitation of the pelvic floor and abdominals, guidance on safe return to exercise, support with lifting and daily activities, and practical strategies to manage symptoms.

They can also include wound care for perineal tears or c-section surgery.

Personalised holistic support

This is a supportive, judgement-free space where your concerns are taken seriously, your questions are welcomed, and your recovery is approached at a pace that feels right for you.

What can I expect?
My approach is tailored to your individual recovery – taking time to assess your body as a whole.

I offer practical guidance and advice, hands-on treatment where appropriate, and personalised rehabilitation to support your return to daily life and exercise with confidence.

  • No, a referral is not required to see me – you can book directly online using this link. However, some insurance providers may request one for reimbursement.

  • A post partum check can take place online from about 2 weeks – there is a lot we can discuss and support we can offer in the early weeks. We can then meet in person for a full assessment from 6 weeks.

  • Yes, absolutely! We have baby change facilities and feel free to feed your baby during the session if needed.

  • The number and frequency of appointments will depend on the individual person, their needs, goals and commitment to rehabilitation.

  • The first appointment usually includes:

    1. A detailed discussion of symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals

    2. Assessment of posture, breathing, core strength, movement, and pelvic function

    3. Education about pelvic floor anatomy and symptom management

    4. Development of a personalised treatment plan

  • If during our initial chat it is deemed important to perform an internal assessment, full informed consent will be gained prior to this. There is still a lot we can do without performing one.

  • You can still attend an appointment whilst on your period. We do not need to perform an internal assessment if you would prefer not to; that being said – it does not bother me if you are and I am happy to do an assessment. It is always your choice.

  • Some people notice changes within a few weeks, while others require more time. Improvement often depends on consistency with exercises and addressing contributing lifestyle or movement factors.

  • No, although current evidence shows the benefit of isolated pelvic floor exercises for the improvement of pelvic floor dysfunction - I will approach each case on an individual basis and consider all factors that may be influencing your symptoms and offer advice that may support your rehabilitation. This may include lifestyle changes, whole body strengthening and activity modification to achieve your individual goals.
