Pregnancy is a time of significant change – physically and emotionally – as your body adapts to support your growing baby.

How I work

Calm, supportive, individualised care. To help you move through pregnancy with confidence

Move well through Pregnancy

As your body adapts during pregnancy, it’s common to experience discomfort, uncertainty, or questions about what is
normal and how to care for yourself.

How can physiotherapy help?
Pregnancy physiotherapy is designed to help you feel more comfortable, confident, and prepared.

Who is it for?
Any pregnant person. Whether you’re experiencing back or pelvic pain, pelvic floor symptoms, or simply want guidance on staying active in your pregnancy.

Birth preparation consultation

My sessions can also be used as a birth preparation, tailored for your specific journey – usually from about 34 weeks.

What is involved?
We discuss your pelvic health and, with consent, assess pelvic floor function – including strength and ability to relax.

Anything else?
I may also cover important topics such as perineal massage, labour positions, breathing techniques, c-section and perineal tear recovery in the early postpartum weeks.

Personalised holistic support

During your appointment you will receive tailored advice, targeted exercises, and, if needed, hands-on therapy to alleviate pain or discomfort.

What can I expect?
My whole-body approach supports you throughout every stage of pregnancy, helping to ease discomfort, improve movement, and support your wellbeing.

Not sure where to start?
I will create a space where you can ask questions, feel heard, empowered, and gain clarity about your changing body

What to know before getting started

Not sure where to start? Reach out with any questions, or if you're ready to begin, schedule a free 15 minute consultation today.

  • No, a referral is not required to see me – you can book directly online using this link. However, some insurance providers may request one for reimbursement.

  • For aches and pains  you can book at any time but if you are wanting a pelvic floor check this would take place after 12 weeks and only if no contraindications.

  • The number and frequency of appointments will depend on the individual person, their needs, goals and commitment to rehabilitation.

  • The first appointment usually includes:

    1. A detailed discussion of symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals

    2. Assessment of posture, breathing, core strength, movement, and pelvic function

    3. Education about pelvic floor anatomy and symptom management

    4. Development of a personalised treatment plan

  • If during our initial chat it is deemed important to perform an internal assessment, full informed consent will be gained prior to this. There is still a lot we can do without performing one.

  • Some people notice changes within a few weeks, while others require more time. Improvement often depends on consistency with exercises and addressing contributing lifestyle or movement factors.

  • No, although current evidence shows the benefit of isolated pelvic floor exercises for the improvement of pelvic floor dysfunction - I will approach each case on an individual basis and consider all factors that may be influencing your symptoms and offer advice that may support your rehabilitation. This may include lifestyle changes, whole body strengthening and activity modification to achieve your individual goals.
